Position Summary:
The Resource & Outreach Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring high-quality support, training, and engagement across Milestones programs and services. This position is responsible for supporting the Resource Center, coordinating community outreach initiatives, facilitating training opportunities, and providing leadership in advancing Milestones’ mission to connect and empower individuals, families, and professionals.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Licensure: BCBA, COBA, LPCC, LISW, Intervention Specialist, SLP, OT, or related field preferred.
- Experience both training and working in the field of autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities required.
- Knowledge and experience pertaining to autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and evidenced based practices in the field including applied behavior analysis required.
- Experience in training development, facilitation and/or curriculum design required.

Responsibilities Include:
Resource Center Support:
- Provide support in the ongoing development and implementation of the Milestones Resource Center initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries, providing timely, compassionate, and knowledgeable support to individuals and professionals seeking information or guidance.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date resource materials and referral information within the resource center database.
- Track and analyze trends in inquiries to inform resource development and identify emerging community needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve response efficiency and enhance user experience.
Training & Education:
- Coordinate and support the planning and delivery of training sessions, workshops and webinars.
- Plan, develop, and deliver internal training for staff across all levels to enhance skills, knowledge and professional growth.
- Coordinate and facilitate external trainings for community partners, families, schools, and other organizations.
- Collect and evaluate participant feedback to guide continuous improvement of training content and methods.
- Assist in the development of training materials and resources for families, professionals and providers.
- Design, adapt, and digitize training materials into engaging multimedia formats for ongoing use.
- Develop and maintain a virtual training library to ensure staff and partners have continuous access to resources.
- Ensure training context is evidenced-based, current, and aligned with best practices in autism services and developmental disabilities.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to expand community awareness of the agency’s programs, services and events.
- Build and maintain partnerships with agencies, schools, service providers and advocacy groups.
- Represent Lifeworks at community events, conferences, and professional gatherings.
- Contribute to outreach communications, including newsletters, presentations and digital content.
- Work closely with program leadership to assess organizational training needs and implement strategies that support workforce development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for training that strengthen service delivery and community partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Agency’s leadership and partners to explore grant-funded training opportunities and requests for proposals.
- Collect and analyze feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate training records, schedules and participant evaluations in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Report regularly on training activities, outcomes and future plans.
- Provide support in the office when not conducting external trainings or outreach activities, assisting with education program initiatives and staff support.
- This position reports to the office except for scheduled travel to training and/or outreach events.
- Standard business hours with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends based on training needs required.
